johan is too bitter to write this post himself.

he got the most recent rolling stone in the mail yesterday – after writing that puff piece the other day – and stared at it blankly.  not recognizing his beloved rag.

obama’s face – usually supersized on floppy shiny newsprint – was reduced to the traditional, slightly less-than-life-size, form of all other magazines. (jann wenner – seen above-, the venerable co-founder of the magazine, had this to say.)

i think his comment was: “what is this?  paste?”

sigh.
